FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
How often should I refresh my mulch?
Most landscape beds in London, KY look best with a fresh layer of mulch each spring — usually 2 to 3 inches deep. We can do it as a one-off or roll it into a seasonal package.
Should I lay sod or seed my lawn?
Sod gives you an instant lawn — best for spring or early fall installs. Seed is cheaper and works well in fall when temps cool. We'll walk your yard and recommend what fits your timeline and budget.
When do you handle fall cleanup?
We start leaf and debris cleanup in late October and run through mid-December, weather depending. Booking early in the season locks in your slot before the rush.
Do I really need lawn aeration?
If your soil is compacted or the lawn is thinning, yes — early fall is the sweet spot. Aeration plus overseeding is the single biggest improvement most lawns can get in a year.
Do you offer year-round service?
Yes. Most clients sign up for a seasonal package covering spring cleanup, weekly mowing, summer fertilization, fall leaf removal, and snow removal in winter.
What's the difference between hardscape and softscape?
Hardscape is the built stuff — patios, pavers, retaining walls, walkways. Softscape is the living stuff — lawn, sod, plants, mulch beds. We do both, and most great yards need a balance of each.
